"Jun (Yong in Chinese) means forever. Njan (Yuan in Chinese) means source. It means to ‘always remember your source / roots’. We believe our grandfather came up with this name for the restaurant to teach us a valuable lesson: To always remember our roots and to remember their humble beginnings.
With this principle of life, our grandfather (Tjoe Foek Lin) and his wife (Wong Njan Tjhoei) started their first restaurant at Tanjung Priok in 1956. Together with their five young children as their only help then and their amazing culinary talents, they all worked hard to make Jun Njan Seafood Restaurant into the household name it is today. Now with 14 branches in Batu Ceper, Arteri Pondok Indah, Grand Indonesia, Mall of Indonesia (MOI) Kelapa Gading, Central Park, Gandaria City, Living World Alam Sutra, Puri Indah Mall, Emporium Pluit,SenayanCity, Plaza Indonesia, Trans Studio Mall BANDUNG & Tunjungan Plaza 5 SURABAYA, Jun Njan has certainly made its mark in Indonesia's food industry."
