Paradise Inn

Restoran Paradise Inn punya konsep yang cukup menarik, yaitu 3 in 1, yan terdiri dari tea house, signatures, dan dessert. Jadi mau makanan ringan, berat, sampai manis-manis ada semua! Menu yang jadi andalan mereka adalah “Bang Bang” Chicken with Honey and Young Ginger, ayam garing yang dikombinasikan dengan rasa manis madu dan segarnya jahe. Kebayang kan enaknya?

Di Paradise Inn, ada menu Bang-Bang, ayam yang dikombinasiin sama madu dan juga jahe. Rasanya unik banget, manis-gurih, tapi ada semriwing jahenya juga. Seru abis.

I came after the normal dining hour, so the restaurant was not full. The greeter was nice, gave me a clear introduction about the menu. And they also serve non-halal food. The variation of the menu was good, very clear with the picture and recommendation. They have set menu package, for 2 person and/or up to 6 person. And you could also choose the a la carte menu. The porridge was served in big portion and it could be enough for 2 person (they do not mention the size). Soup could be served in single portion or in a pot of bigger portion. Most of the main courses and side dishes have choices of portion (Small, Medium, or Large). The beverages are also unique, rarely found at the common Chinese Restaurant. The presentation of every order which I made, was good enough, except the Hokkien Noodles which made me surprised. It could be finished by 3 person for the medium size. All of the taste were good and the presence of MSG, which usually grows the Chinese Restaurant Syndrome, used normally. And I felt full enough for all of the dishes which had been eaten. The overall judgement wee also worth the price. Maybe, just a little bit recommendation from the service side: please take a good care of the guests' needs, every single request and gesture which presented while they take the dinner in the restaurant. The table's set up should be completed during the dining session. And every single item such as wet tissue could be offered since the first time guests come to the table.

First off all, the ambiance is simple, elegant, but not over bearing. My meal started with Salmon Skin (which is kinda bland in my honest opinion, but pretty darn good), and Fried Tofu, which is my fav food. Ordered the 3 eggs spinach dish which is also awesome. And the Lap Chiong Fried rice, the taste is very good and reminds me so much of my moma's cooking. Long story short, its a simple but complete dining experience for me. #QravedSurprise

Nasi itu penting banget untuk orang Chinese, sama kaya di Indonesia. Nah di sana orang-orang biasa makan siang dengan lauk babi asam manis plus cah sayuran. Hari ini kunjungan pertama dan terakhir ke restoran ini. Sangat tidak recommended! Servis-nya jelek, lama dan nyolotin. Makanan-nya juga tidak enak dan dibawah standar. Porsi yg dikeluarkan itu 50% dari yg seharusnya, begitu di-komplain baru diperbaiki. Kita pesan ayam goreng terasi tapi yang keluar ayam yang belum matang. Makanan lain yg dipesan juga keluar-nya sangat jauh dari standard. Pokoknya sangat tidak recommended makan di restoran ini.

Bebek punya filosofinya sendiri, begitu juga dengan babi. Kalau bebek melambangkan kebersamaan, babi justru melambangkan sifat malas dan gak kenal kata usaha. Nah dengan mengkonsumsi daging babi saat Imlek, dipercaya (dan diharapkan) dapat menjauhkan seseorang dari sifat malas. Satu menu babi yang harus kamu coba pada hari raya Imlek ini ada di restoran Paradise Inn. Sweet and sour pork disini luar biasa enak, tekstur luarnya garing, dagingnya lembut, dan berpadu pas dengan saus asam manis yang seger banget.
